The Abhainn Lodge

Introducing

Providing a place for an unforgettable experience.

BOOK YOUR STAY
Abhainn
The Abhainn lodge is called so as it has wonderful views of the river out the front door (as both lodges do) as well as the side panoramic window in the living area. Abhainn is Scottish Gaelic (pronounced ah-vin) for river so it is it aptly named. Therefore it’s a perfect place for your Scotland holiday.

While looking west on a late summer evening, gazing out of the panoramic window will give exclusive sunset views. Also, there is a small burn that runs by the side of the lodge that has a wonderful calming sound. There also is a small bit of woodland that you look onto that hides some interesting wildlife. Finally, this lodge has a little private outside space by the burn where you can enjoy a peaceful spot in the afternoon summer sun. With this in mind please make sure you use sun cream as it is easy to burn due to low pollution levels.

If you stay for 2 weeks, we’ll take 15% off your booking for both weeks.

The Gleann Lodge

Introducing

Providing a place for an unforgettable experience.

BOOK YOUR STAY
Gleann
The Gleann lodge is called so as it has a wonderful view of the river out the front door (as both lodges do) but especially looking down the strath towards the Dornoch Firth. With this in mind, as you gaze east you will see amazing views of the hills in the distance that form fabulous layers on the horizon. Gleann (pronounced klaun) is Gaelic for glen or valley so is well named. Therefore, it’s a perfect place for your Scotland holiday.

The panoramic side window looks past the main house across really interesting flood plains where the trees have adapted to thrive in this wet environment. Undoubtedly, one our favourite sights has been to see eagles perched on them when they are bare in the winter. Lastly, winter sunrises are special to behold from this lodge. However, don’t worry you won’t need to rise early as daylight is 5-6 hours in the deepest winter.

If you stay for 2 weeks, we’ll take 15% off your booking for both weeks.
