We are bang in the middle of the NC500, only 7 miles from the village of Lairg - the only inland large settlement in Sutherland.

To emphasize the remote location for our Scotland Lodges find us using the grid reference 57.949382595397545, -4.437813393554429. Also, you may find us using the three words reference is trek.unafraid.frog. Additionally, there are more details about how to find us in Practical Things.

We are in a remote location between Bonar Bridge and Rosehall, although practically situated just off the A837. Our Scotland lodges overlook the Kyle of Sutherland where the birdlife is amazing and varied. We are lucky to have both Pine Martens and Badgers visit our garden – although, both are quite elusive.

From our lodges, you can get to all points of the NC500 and back within a day. Especially enjoy the beautiful scenery of the inland northern Highlands as well the coastal routes.

Being close to the centre of the country offers advantage in choosing what you do on your holiday considering the weather. If one coast has poor weather, often the other has it good. Also, there are many wonderful inland places to see. This is a big benefit of staying here rather than sticking strictly to the NC500.

On your holiday, you can enjoy fabulous wildlife, walking, amazing landscapes, glorious beaches, cycling, fishing, canoeing, golf, distilleries, history and more from our lodges.
