Your Hosts
The first of your hosts at Ceol Mor is Alan

Although my background is managing the complex supply chains for retailers, I am drawn to the accessible wild areas and love hills, mountains and deserted beaches. Surely, there’s no better place than the highlands of Scotland?

I grew up in Sussex where I spent most of my life and where I met my wonderful wife, Yvonne. After a tough start to 2020, we decided to leave Sussex and buy a house in the Scottish Highlands. This starts a new life to share our passion for adventure and epic scenery. Furthermore, you can read our blog on how this started here.

I have a love of landscape photography, wildlife, driving great roads and history. Therefore, this spot in the centre of the North Coast 500 route is absolutely perfect for me. I am undoubtedly privileged to be working in the Logistics team of SSE managing their supply chain. Working remotely and having the opportunity to savour the fresh air and adventure the northern Highlands offers is brilliant.

The second of your hosts at Ceol Mor (and arguably the most important) is Yvonne

After two successful careers as airline flight crew and teaching in Sussex and Surrey, I have returned to Scotland where I grew up.

The fantastic open spaces and fresh air is a real tonic from a busy life in the south. In fact, it’s brilliant to be back and to have quality time with my wonderful husband.

My passions in life are family and cooking! I love trying new recipes – rarely doing the same dish twice. I’m looking forward to welcoming our guests with some home baking. Perhaps drop your children for a fun cooking lesson at the house whilst you climb a local Munro or Corbett.
